Dr. Bruce Bloom Executive Director, VP Research, Staff

Dr. Bloom brings extensive experience in healthcare innovation, patient advocacy, and biomedical research. He joins at a pivotal moment as the Foundation expands its efforts to accelerate research, advance therapeutic development, and improve the lives of people living with trigeminal neuralgia and related facial pain disorders.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bloom has worked to translate scientific insight into real-world impact for patients facing serious and underserved conditions. He has held executive and board leadership roles for non-profit and biopharmaceutical organization, with a consistent focus on building partnerships, mobilizing communities, and advancing novel approaches to disease research and treatment. These partnerships have developed over a dozen therapies improving the lives of those with rare diseases, mostly through drug repurposing and the application of data and artificial intelligence to complex medical challenges.
