Joanna Zakrzewska, MD, FDSRCS

Dr. Zakrzewska, MD, FDSRCS holds dual degrees in dentistry (King’s College London) and medicine (University of Cambridge). She is a Consultant in Oral Medicine at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and an Honorary Professor at UCL, where she established the UK’s largest multidisciplinary center for facial pain. Her research and clinical expertise focus on trigeminal neuralgia and the development of evidence-based care pathways for facial pain. She was the first non-anaesthetist to be elected a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine and serves as Chair of the Medical Advisory Board for the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association UK.
