Matt Flesch
DIRECTOR

Matt Flesch brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare communications and patient advocacy to the Facial Pain Research Foundation Board of Directors.

Throughout his career, Matt has worked with leading biopharmaceutical companies, most recently serving in communications and advocacy leadership roles at Amgen, Horizon Therapeutics and Lundbeck. He has dedicated much of his career to partnering with patient communities and advancing awareness of rare diseases.

In addition, Matt previously served as Board Chair of the Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery Alliance, an organization that drives research, education and awareness for children who need brain surgery to stop their seizures.

During his time at Horizon, Matt helped launch the #RAREis campaign, an initiative designed to elevate the voices of people living with rare diseases – including those where the company does not have medicines. Through that work, he became familiar with trigeminal neuralgia and the profound challenges faced by individuals living with facial pain. As part of this work, the team at Horizon became a supporter of the Laugh Your Face of event.

Matt is honored to join the Facial Pain Research Foundation Board and looks forward to helping advance its mission to accelerate research and improve the lives of those living with facial pain.
