Robert Caudle, Ph.D.

Robert Caudle, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Neuroscience, at the University of Florida.  He is also a Research Scientist at the UF McKnight Brain Institute, and has held research positions at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  Rob is involved in multiple FPRF projects, serving as Co-Lead Investigator for our Mapping Towards a Cure- Finding the Signature Centers that Cause Trigeminal Neuralgia” project; and he is Lead Investigator in the project “Exploring Neuropeptide Guided Botulinum Light Chain For Use In Blocking Pain Transmission.”  Rob has identified neurotransmitter systems that transmit pain signals from the face to the brain, and is working on therapies to disrupt the transmission of pain to provide relief to patients.  His Curriculum Vitae includes dozens of publications, honors, research grants, presentations, abstracts, and book chapters related to pain research.  He has also assisted other FPRF Scientists as a member of the FPRF International Consortium of Scientists.
